Walks in the area

Tillicoultry Glen 2.5km:- A circular walk up steps, hillside and bridges. If coming from Alva turn right at Royal Arms, from Alloa and Dollar turn right at the Royal arms continue up the road (Uppermill Street)

you we see parking on your left. The Glen entrance is a few hundred yard in front of you.

Tillicoultry to Blackford via Glendevon Reservoir 17km. Hard route footpath and track. Map, Compass and Hillwalking gear are essential. Route rises to 1900 above sea-level.

Tillicoultry to Alva Woodland Park again park in Uppermill Street, cross the small footbridge into Scotland Place go straight ahead onto tared track turn right   at the bottom of the steep ramp keep on the track till you come to Alva Woodland Park. If you continue on you will arrive in Alva. This walk can be muddy strong boots are recommended.WOOD HILL WOOD

The Devon Way is on the site of the old Devon Valley Railway the Devon Way between Tillicoultry and Dollar runs parallel to the River Devon. You can also walk along the route to Alloa via Fishcross and Sauchie. Access is available from quite a few points however you could park opposite Devonvale Hall in Moss Road (Nr. Sterling Mills) you can also access it from Sterling Mills.

On these routes you you may come upon quite a lot of wildlife please do not disturb them.
